Zundapp Company is completely forgotten today. Meanwhile, 60 years ago it was one of the largest factories in Germany, and its products were no less popular than the motorcycle company BMW.
The company emerged in 1917. It was decided to do motorcycles. For a sample was taken English “Lewis”. The debut took place in 1921 and was called Zundapp Z22. The machine weighed 60 kg, had a two-stroke single-cylinder engine capacity of 211 cm3 (62h70 mm) with cast iron cylinder and the piston, separate lubrication system (gear using a small pump from time to time oil sprayed into the engine) with a capacity of 2.25 bhp, positioned as “motorcycle for all”, ie cheap and cheerful.
